Summer Missions Trip: Appalachia
Sunday, July 22nd – Friday, July 27th
The missions team would leave Sunday, July 22nd directly at 9:00 am. It will be around a 7.5 hour drive with stops to Cocke County – Tennessee. The team will be doing light construction on local community houses. Service project for the local schools which will include food distribution. The team will be part of dramas for presentation of the gospel at the local churches. The team will have a Fun Day which will include hiking through a trail in North Carolina called Max Patch. These trails are not hard at all to hike, and the sights are breath taking of waterfalls. The total trip cost will be $400 which would cover lodging and food.
May 16th Deposit & Registration Due $100.
May 16th Mission Trip Meeting prior to service to go over trip information. Meeting will be held at 5:30 pm in the Auditorium.
May 26th Rock A Thon in the multipurpose room – from 12 pm to 8 pm – Goal is to raise at least $1,000 for the project cost of the mission trip, anything raised beyond that will go to them personally.
July 15th Final money is due.
July 15th Final mission trip meeting – Go over final details along with ministry training.
July 22nd Depart for Appalachia from Victory Life.
July 23 – 26 Missions Trip
July 27th Depart for Victory Life from Appalachia.
